Update: We have system-wide outages with more than 10,000 members without power. Crews have been dispatched. We are working to restore power to all members as quickly and safely as possible. We are also working closely with Santee Cooper as they are addressing transmission line damages affecting many of our members.

Reminders - Please stay away from all downed powerlines. DO NOT trust that they are not energized. Electricity can be silent, has no smell, is not visible and it is deadly.

CEC is addressing extensive power outages impacting around 4,000 members, resulting from Santee Cooper transmission disruptions and fallen trees and lines.

Remember to maintain a safe distance from downed power lines. Restoration efforts are underway, prioritizing safety.
