Re: T.J. Gardner Fundraiser
As many of you are aware, Black River Electric Cooperative lost lineman, T.J. Gardner, to a tragic on-the-job accident last Tuesday. T.J. was 34 years old and leaves behind a wife and two children, ages 13 and 5.
Our cooperative community is small and tight. Tragedies like this remind us of the dangers we face daily, not only rocking this community to its core but offering an opportunity to bless those in their darkest days.
Statewide is collecting donations under the S.C. Cooperatives Care Foundation (IRS 501(c)(3)) in an effort to provide each of T.J.’s children a major gift toward their education. If you are interested in contributing, there will be an envelope in Samantha’s office until this Friday, September 22nd, or if you prefer to send a check directly to the foundation (outside donations are welcome), please send it to:
S.C. Cooperatives Care Foundation
808 Knox Abbott Drive
Cayce, SC 29033
(Please indicate in the check memo that you would like your contribution to be used for the Gardners)
It is a blessing to be a part of our cooperative family. I thank you for your interest in and support of this cause.
Mark
