As an informed member of your local electric co-op, you play a vital role in shaping South Carolina’s energy future. Right now, lawmakers in Columbia are considering a proposal that could have serious consequences for your family, your community and small businesses across the state.
Act Now: Tell Your Senator to Say NO to Special Energy Deals for Big Businesses
This proposal would allow some of the state’s largest corporations to shop around for electricity while you pay full price for the power grid that you and other co-op members have built and maintained. This so-called “limited retail choice” threatens to shift energy costs away from big businesses and onto hardworking South Carolina families and communities.
States like Texas and California have tried similar policies, only to see electricity costs skyrocket and service reliability decline. Don’t let this happen in South Carolina.
Say NO to special energy deals for big businesses!
Join us in urging your state senator to oppose this harmful policy and protect the affordability and reliability of our state’s electric system.
Together, we can send a clear message: Put South Carolina first and tell big business to pay their fair share.
Thank you for your support,
